Elephant at Saturn,
Rhino at Mars;
You may not know,
But they're all into cars.

The subtle meaning may not be apparent at first, but there's quite a lot going on here.
Firstly, the companions. The current frantic race for capturing, taming, rather trapping your own sacred companions has truly taken the community by storm! Well, atleast the gamers on Test Server, anyway.
But still, the excitement of seeing that theatric icon pop up amidst all the groaning, burly monsters—it truly lights up hope, a beacon of sorts.
For something new. Something different.
But then again, after the several hundred kills you do, and finally capture, or rather trap a companion for yourself, what then? The companion just stares at you, and you stare back at the card—do you really know the companion?
Oh sure, it's a lion, a beakflapper, a longnose, blah blah *blam!* But do you KNOW your companion? What he/she/it likes? Heck, do you even know he/she/its pronouns?!

/me sighs.

And for the cars.
What do cars really signify? The roaring of metallic hearts, spitting fire and drinking fuel, spewing gases made of you-know-what. Is it just that, though?
It's not just that, no no no. It's so not.

It's about movement. Of the dangerous thrill of speed. Of going somewhere, someplace, of your instantaneous velocity NOT being zero.
Of having something new. Something different.

So, yeah, why do they like cars, you ask?
Because they want to not just be a zero.
To move.
To move towards you.

To be your true companion.
