TOPIC: Gear Cloning Feedback

I'm going to open this up for discussion. I finished the gear cloning option on test game. It is not available though, except to me. Right now it takes a gear piece and makes a copy of it, but removes infusions from the cloned piece.
- A cloned piece cannot be sold in Hero Shops
- Right now the cost is 100 AC to clone any gear
- You can clone any existing gear piece right now.
Questions:
1) What negative unforeseen things am I not considering on Gear cloning?
2) Is the price way too high? I could make it some flat amount of AC depending on rarity.
3) Any other feedback you have on the idea.

100 AC is a good price for cloning godly/borgen items. I'm not sure why you would want to clone anything less than godly.
I'm not sure if you could make it so that you can rename the items when you clone them but that would be really sweet. Thanks for the good work fs!

So good question on gear levels. Right now the cloned piece would be at level 1 since it is a brand new piece of gear basically.

Agree with bunny, it would be cool to rename the pieces so they all have a theme. Atleast for Decoded gear that is

Right, it would be so you could infuse it differently and rename it.

That's pretty cool. Maybe you could add a feature to purple and below gear to pay info costs when cloning it to make gear with custom perks, such as blues with a specific set and perks, and then be able to inf it after you clone it

Does that mean you can buy a gear from hero shops, clone it for 100 AC and then sell it (original gear) again through your hero shop? Won't that cheapen the cost for Godly weaps?

Oh I guess I misunderstood. By cloned gear you mean both the clone and the original right? Then what I said shouldnt be possible

VM as cost for cloning might have given it more purpose, but that's just my opinion. Sounds good though.
But also I was really hoping there'll be a feature to rename gears, cloned or not. Heck I'd pay AC to rename gear lol
Nonetheless, this will be really cool!

I think it should be able to be sold, but some limitations
-Cloned gear has to be sold at the Clone Price at minimum
-Cannot have infusions when sold
White Gear clone: 5 AC
Green Gear clone: 15 AC
Blue Gear clone: 45 AC
Purple Gear clone: 135 AC
Red Gear clone: 405 AC
Yellow Gear clone: 1215 AC
Onyx Gear clone: 3645 AC, Cannot be sold
Bikes can be cloned at the same price as gear. Cannot be sold.
If you sell a cloned piece of gear, it cannot be sold again
Cloned Gear is part of a new gear set - CLONED
Perks for full set:
. 2% Attack
. 2% Defense
. 1% LP
Cloned Gear can be infused after sale
Cloned Gear gets the same Gear XP level rates as the average set, but the XP has a higher chance to go to armor rather than weapons.
Cloned Gear has a 5% chance to not clone
If the cloned gear fails, you get half the AC back.

Some random thought for additions.
- Allow the icon to be customized for additional AC in the cloning process
- Allow the name color to be customized for additional AC
- Cloning the item has a very small chance to improve a stat on it
- Make Godly items like the ToZ require Shards of Zeus to clone.
